Product data of the D6000 / D6500

The product line of the D6000 series consists of 4 devices: One version is equipped with the usual automatic cutting knife (D6000Ae / D6500Ae). The other version has a dispensing function for the first time for inkjet printers (D6000Pe / D6500Pe). The device names and functions are analogous to the proven C6000 models.

The Epson ColorWorks D6000 has a maximum material width of 112 mm (4,4 ") with a print width of up to 108 mm (4,3 "). On the other hand, the D6500 can even handle material widths up to 215,9 mm (8,5 ") and print widths up to 211,9 mm (8,3 ").

The required minimum media width is only 25,4 mm (1 ") for both printers. There are no limits for the print length, so nothing stands in the way of "banner printing".

The D6000 series is capable of printing with a resolution of up to 1200 x 1200 dpi and achieves a maximum print speed of 119,5 mm / s (300 x 600 dpi).

The printers can be controlled by various operating systems, including: Windows, Mac, Linux, SAP and has a compatibility with native drivers. In addition, the printers are easy to integrate in printing and dispensing stations.

Thanks to the peeler function and easy integration, the printers are suitable for automation through "Print & Apply". With WebConfig you can also view settings and status information conveniently through your browser and adjust it if necessary.

"Spot Color Matching" makes it easier to adapt the print result to a target color to be achieved.

All printers in the series can be loaded from either side and can therefore be positioned in the room to save space.

The D6000 series has been specifically designed for labels where vibrant colors, a wide color gamut, and deep blacks are essential. This technology is based on a newly developed UltraChrome dye ink and has been tailored specifically for glossy media.

Ink for Brilliant Colors and Deep Blacks

The key difference between the Epson ColorWorks models C6000/C6500 and the new D6000/D6500 lies in the ink technology.

The D6000/D6500 printers utilize the newly developed UltraChrome dye-based ink, which is specifically designed for printing on glossy media. This dye-based ink delivers exceptionally vibrant colors and an impressively wide color gamut. Additionally, it achieves a high black density, resulting in deep, rich contrasts. Notably, the ink also offers excellent dry abrasion resistance and enhanced scratch resistance, ensuring the creation of highly durable labels.

It is important to note that this ink has been optimized specifically for glossy materials and is therefore only suitable for use on matte surfaces to a limited extent.

Areas of application of the D6000 / D6500

The attributes of compactness, flexibility, and color printing make inkjet label printers suitable for a wide range of industries.

These include, among others, retail sectors such as food labeling, cosmetics, and other product labeling. Due to their outstanding print quality and excellent color reproduction, Epson's D6000 and D6500 are especially well-suited for show labels of all kinds, particularly those printed on glossy materials.

The D6000 / D6500 is especially ideal for applications where the label needs to remain dry and high dry abrasion resistance and scratch resistance are essential.
